The pain from the sudden death of a child is immeasurable. My body and mind seemed to be on a totally different level of existence. One aspect that seemed quite vivid in my mind was the feeling of being in total sync with nature; everything seemed more alive and vibrant. Birds sang more clearly and cloud gazing became more prevalent. The Shining Star spoke directly to my soul as if it was meant for only me. To this day whenever I look up on a clear night and see the stars shining brightly I immediately look for the brightest star and feel the warmth of knowing my special star is looking over me always.
